1977- Present day
1. Personal Background: Holly A. is an American Photographer, born in Missoula Montana. Holly currently works in Portland, Oregon. She has an undergraduate degree in painting and drawing (1998). But she studied cinema (she was fascinated by the freezing of a narrative in a single frame) and she graduated with a B.F.A in her hometown (2002). But Ms. Andres didn’t stop there, 2 years later, in 2004 she got a M.F.A from Portland State University in Oregon. So, as a result, Holly began doing photography best represent her concepts and interests.
2. Style: Holly's style is her own. Her mostly does portraits, but she makes them into her own creations. Holly’s pictures tell a story. So I would call her style of photography narrative pictures. Her pictures tell a story. Either that certain persons story, or just a story that she wants to show, maybe about her childhood.
3. Philosophy: Ms. Andres photos were manly personal. They show experiences that she had growing up in Montana. With her photographs, Holly is trying to say that she still remembers the old times with her family. And that she wishes she could go back to when her family would talk about anything with each other and enjoy each other's company. She was represented in many places across the world such as New York City (Robert Mann Gallery), San Francisco (Robert Koch Gallery), Atlanta (Jackson Fine Art) ,and Portland (Charles A. Harman Fine Art)
